From August 19th 2020, SECTIGO issues SSL certificates with a maximum lifetime of 398 days (13 months) as specified by CA/Browser consortium. SSL certificates with a longer lifetime must be re-issued annually (free of charge). You'll receive reminders via e-mail. SSL certificates issued before August 19th 2020 remain valid until their planned expiry date. Code Signing & S/MIME certificates are not affected and remain valid until their planned expiry date.

Wie funktionieren S/MIME Zertifikate ?

S/MIME Zertifikate können dazu benutzt werden, um Dokumente in Microsoft Office digital zu signieren oder auch z.B. um Emails zu verschlüsseln und/oder digital zu signieren.

Es gibt verschiedene Preisklassen der Zertifikate: Basic, Pro und Enterprise. Abhängig von der Klasse werden folgende Informationen des Antragstellers überprüft.


Welche Informationen werden vom Kunden benötigt bzw. überprüft?

CPAC Basic: Email des Mitarbeiters (Prüfung mittels Email Validierung)
CPAC Pro: Email und Identitätsprüfung (z.B. Pass des Mitarbeiters)
CPAC Enterprise: Email und Identitätsprüfung (z.B. Pass des Mitarbeiters) sowie Firmenprüfung (Handelsregister bzw. Gründungsurkunden usw... )
